Our History
Lite Outdoors was founded in the spring of 2014 by Brennen Hanna, an avid backcountry hunter and outdoorsman. Wanting to extend his season and get further off the roads in heavy snow, Brennen set out to build himself his own portable wood burning stove. A friend saw the stove and wanted one for himself. The rest is history. From wood burning stoves, to ultralight backpacking tarps, to hot tents and tent accessories, Lite Outdoors has come a long way over the last decade.
Where We Are
Lite Outdoors is a small, home-based business located in Lethbridge, AB, Canada. Lethbridge, and the rocky mountains in southern Alberta are known for their very high winds, reaching up to 100 km/h or 60 mph. Our products were prototyped, designed for, and tested in this harsh environment. Our products are tough, they need to be tough to survive here.
Our Goals
At Lite Outdoors, we strive to create gear that is high in quality, and low in weight, at a reasonable cost. Designs are constantly being tweaked and refined, always improving our product. Our goal is for our gear to be bombproof yet still be affordable.
Our Values
We are a small, family run business. We don’t come from a big corporate background, so aggressive marketing and manipulation tactics do not fit our approach. We are open, honest, reasonable, and fair. We feel customer service is extremely important, and strive to provide the best service to our customers.
