A Liteoutdoors Isola Teepee Tent – What You Need to Know:
The Isola 4 Teepee Tent is the smaller sibling of the Plateau, making it a perfect fit for two people, a wood stove, and your gear. With no stove, it comfortably accommodates 4 sleepers. Here’s how the Isola stands out as one of the best hot tents:
- Tent Stove Compatible: Enjoy the convenience of a built-in stove jack. Add a Liteoutdoors portable wood stove to create the ultimate all season tent.
- Durable Construction: Crafted from 20D ripstop nylon with a hybrid silicone/polyurethane coating, this lightweight fabric ensures strength and outstanding waterproofness.
- Snow Skirt: A 9″ sod cloth (also known as a snow skirt) creates a seal to the ground. This keeps the warm air inside and the cold weather outside.
- Fully Taped Seams: The tent seams come waterproofed out of the box, saving you time and effort – no need for seam sealing.
- Spacious Entry: The large floor-to-peak door features a two-way zipper for easy access. Loops allow the doors to be secured into the corners when not in use.
- Great Ventilation: Large mesh screens on either side of the peak allow warm, humid air to exit the tent, greatly reducing condensation.
- Solid Stake Points: This teepee has 9 main webbing loops for staking to the ground. 8 secondary stake locations offer the option of extra stability in really bad weather.
- Guy-Out Loops: Utilize the 10 webbing loops for secure guy-out points. Loops are reflective and increase the space on the interior of the tent.
- Adjustable Tent Pole: This teepee tent comes with your choice of either an aluminum pole or an ultralight carbon fiber center pole.
- All Essentials Included: Your purchase includes our Tent Stake 12 Kit which contains 12 high-quality aluminum tent stakes, guyline, and guyline tensioners.
Isola 4 Ultralight – The New and Improved Version
In July 2021, we launched the Isola 4 Ultralight Teepee Tent, offering all the same features with a 15 oz. (425 g) weight reduction. This version maintains the durability of the standard Isola while cutting excess unneeded weight.
Want a Tent With Wood Stove? Take Advantage of Our Tent Stove Bundle
Thinking about pairing the Isola with a wood stove? People call this combo the “game changer”. Add a Liteoutdoors Large Tent Stove and turn up the heat when the weather turns bad. Buying the teepee and stove in a bundle is more cost-effective than purchasing separately, so if you know you want both this is the best approach. The tent and stove package includes a 7-foot titanium pipe and all hardware needed to get the Isola pumping the heat right out of the box.
Additional Options to Consider:
- Condensation Liner: Opt for the breathable, water-repellent liner that attaches to the inside of the Isola Teepee. The liner surrounds the bottom ⅔ of the tent, reducing condensation felt in high humidity conditions.
- Isola Nest: The Isola Nest adds a bathtub floor and mesh walls to the Isola for use during the buggy seasons. Pitch the teepee tent high to allow more ventilation and let the mesh walls and doors keep the critters out. Most people don’t use the wood stove with the Nest, but it is possible with some minor modifications.
Andrew (verified owner) –
Great tent, took it on a caribou hunt where the wind howled so hard I had to put rocks on the pegs. Rained pretty much the whole time and I was dry in it.
I had to seam seal the zipper before I left as added protection.
I found with the “hose test” at home it leaked through the zipper. I wish it was Velcro strip the whole way down to keep the flap closed over it but the seam sealer did its job.
I really liked the reflective guide points made it easy to see when walking back at night and not bailing over the ropes.
Probably going to get the Plateau for a base camp tent
